Born from the boundless imagination of the late Lennox “Becks” Gonsalves, Mirage Productions, now rebranded as Mirage Carnival, was a dream turned reality. A true visionary, Becks introduced Mirage to Vincy Mas in the summer of 1986, pouring his heart and soul into creating an unforgettable carnival experience. He handpicked the best designers, seamstresses, and craftsmen to ensure every costume was a work of art, meticulously crafted to perfection. His passion for excellence and his commitment to mas set a new standard, and as the saying goes, “the rest is history…”

Over the years, Mirage became synonymous with unparalleled quality and a customer-first philosophy. Profit was never Becks’ focus—his mission was to create unforgettable memories for his masqueraders. A pioneer of Vincy Mas, Becks was among the first to introduce the fully all-inclusive experience, with morning mimosas, gourmet breakfast and lunch, and an endless flow of premium drinks during the parade.

For over three decades, Becks' values remained the bedrock of Mirage Carnival. Even after stepping down from the forefront, he continued to guide the brand, passing the torch to his daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Gonsalves. A “carnival baby” raised in the heart of mas, Becky inherited her father’s passion and perfectionist eye for detail. Under her leadership, Mirage has been rebranded, refreshed, and reenergized to meet the evolving needs of today’s revelers.

Becks’ passing on November 4, 2024, marked the end of an era, but his legacy endures in every feather, every gem, and every beat on Carnival Tuesday. As we march into Vincy Mas 2025, Mirage Carnival proudly honors his memory by continuing the high standards and vibrant spirit he instilled in this beloved brand and family.
